Result:
Visualizing data as a "visual weapon" against climate change at the 2021 UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow.
ThePlanetVs is an international movement that fights environmental destruction through legal means to ensure that perpetrators are held accountable and responsible for their actions.
Climate lawyers from AllRise, the NGO behind ThePlanetVs, sued Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro for Amazon deforestation before the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands, arguing that his actions constitute crimes against humanity. The international press and media worldwide have reported on the case (CBS, CNN, Die Zeit, Independent, Le Monde, The Guardian, UOL, Sky News US, El Español).
In preparation for the 2021 UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow (COP26), we were commissioned to create several infographic designs demonstrating various scenarios of the Bolsonaro regime regarding Amazon deforestation. The infographics also demonstrate that much of the Amazon's deforestation is directly linked to cattle ranching.
Each infographic was created in various formats for print and online media as well as as a social media infographic.
