PLAN 7

Fully responsive web design & digital planning aid for accessible bathroom concepts

Client:

PLAN 7

Industry:

Bathroom & Sanitary

Services:

Webdesign, Strategy

Challenge:

The old website was technically and structurally outdated. Bathroom planning content was poorly organized, barely usable on mobile devices, and hampered the work of architects and specialist planners. Furthermore, PLAN 7's consulting services were not clearly identifiable as a core offering.

What we did:

We developed a new website structure with a clear user flow for submitting consultation requests. The existing planning tool was redesigned in terms of content and visuals, logically structured, and built as a step-by-step guide for planners. The entire interface was completely redesigned to be responsive.

Result:

The new website offers maximum user-friendliness, clear orientation for specialist planners, and prominently features PLAN 7's expert consulting services. Complex planning content is more clearly structured, understandable, and easily accessible on mobile devices.

Fully responsive web design & digital planning aid for accessible bathroom concepts

PLAN 7 does not offer automated bathroom planning, but rather a well-founded, professionally structured, step-by-step planning service for architects and planners. The website supports decision-making and directs users to personalized expert advice.

PLAN 7 is backed by several renowned Swiss companies such as LAUFEN and NOSAG (to name just a few). Together, they provide the highest level of expertise in the field of barrier-free bathroom design – a commitment to quality that is now also reflected in their digital presence.

The previous planning tool displayed numerous components simultaneously – an information overload that was more overwhelming than helpful. Today, the planning process is clearly guided:

  •  For each toilet, washbasin and shower, a clearly prioritized recommended option is pre-selected.
  •  Suitable alternatives can be displayed on the same level.
  •  Sticky positions ensure that relevant content remains in view while scrolling.
  •  Collapsible additional information provides details only when needed.
  •  Download buttons for individual components allow quick access to technical documentation.

This keeps content reduced, logically structured, and visible exactly when needed.

A key objective was to clearly prioritize specialist consultation. To achieve this, a multi-step form was developed for the consultation area. Instead of overwhelming users with lengthy forms, relevant information is requested step by step. This results in improved user guidance, higher conversion rates, and higher-quality inquiries for the consultation team.

The old mobile website was practically unusable: very small font sizes, too narrow spacing and buttons that were barely clickable on touchscreens (see black and white photo).

Today, every page is consistently optimized for mobile use: clear typography, sufficiently large interaction areas and clean visual hierarchies make the planning tool easy to use on the go.

The visual branding was defined by the client and then digitally implemented by us. The focus was therefore entirely on structure, user guidance, and functional clarity.

In addition to the B2B focus for architects and planners, a further B2C channel for end customers is already in preparation. This will be released at a later date and builds strategically on the new structure.
