Challenge:
A lot of statistical and complex data, provided in an Excel spreadsheet. Different data sets were based on different parameters, which made the data very complex and difficult to understand.
What we did:
Translating complex data into appealing visualizations.
Result:
Attractive data visualization for national and international public relations.
Next summer is sure to arrive. Who wouldn't want to hop on their bike? Whether it's a conventional bike or an e-bike, the bicycle business is booming. The award-winning WERTGARANTIE AG (Hanover, Germany) is the best place to start when it comes to insurance, repairs, and a network of specialist dealers.
In collaboration with the data service provider Statista GmbH, several thousand bicycle and e-bike riders were surveyed about their experiences with these vehicles. The informative and representative study, conducted throughout Germany, addresses all questions related to wear and tear, damage, maintenance, and use of bicycles compared to e-bikes.
As in previous years, we accompanied the study visually and were responsible for the data visualization.
The amount of data was enormous and had to be translated into infographics in a logical and visually appealing way. A particular challenge was comparing various data sets based on different parameters (federal state, bicycle vs. e-bike, men vs. women, etc.) in the smallest possible space using compact images.
The study and its infographics serve as an important reference source for the press. The full study is available for download on the WERTGARANTIE website.
